The Visalia Library is seeking school yearbooks for addition to the History Room's yearbook collection. Yearbooks from any year and any school or college in Tulare County will be accepted*, but we do have a special need for yearbooks from the 1970s to present. Individuals interested in donating are asked to leave them with a librarian at the Reference Desk (located near the young adult area) during regular business hours, or upstairs with the History Room staff, Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm. Gift receipts are available upon request.
Click here to view a list of our current yearbook collection.
*Once donated, yearbooks become the property of the Tulare County Library and may be assigned or transferred to other branches in the Tulare County Library system. Items that are not suitable for addition to the libraries' collections will be discarded or donated to charitable organizations. Click here to read the library's complete gift books policy.

Help Someone Learn to Read!
Over a third of Tulare County residents lack basic literacy skills.
The Library Literacy Center works to reduce that number, but we need your help.
We offer free one-on-one tutoring and are looking for more volunteers to be tutors.
A new tutor training will be held on July 6, from noon until 4 pm at the Literacy Center, 417 N. Locust Street in Visalia.
Tutoring takes place in the Center or in the branch libraries throughout the county.
Please call (559) 713-2745 to sign up for the training.
Give someone else the benefit of your knowledge!
