Mystery Readers Book Group

The Mystery Readers Book Group is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and meets every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 at the Visalia library. The next meeting will be on March 18th at 6:30 PM in the upstairs meeting room. This month we will be discussing mysteries that include animals. Some authors with "animal magnetism" are Lydia Adamson, Dick Francis, Lillian Jackson Braun, and Rita Mae Brown--just to name a few. We'll see you there.

Mosey on in to the Visalia Library for Some Cowboy Poetry

The Friends of the Tulare County Library and the Visalia Cowboy Cultural Committee invite you to an evening of cowboy poetry on April 3rd. Dutch oven peach cobbler will be served at 6:30 pm, followed by cowboy poetry and music. For more information, please call Sheryll Strachan at 713-2709.

Baby (ages 0-2) Lapsit Storytime is here every 2nd and last Monday of the Month @10am!
Come and enjoy wonderful stories, songs and fingerplays to do with your baby while helping to build early literacy skills. There will also be time set up for the babies to play/interact with each other.

Try Our New Self-Checkout Stations

For your convenience, the Visalia branch library has just installed new self-checkout stations. The only things you need to check out your own books at one of these stations are your library card and your PIN number. (If you don't know your PIN number, just ask a staff member to look it up for you.) Come in soon and try it out!

In-N-Out Hamburger's Children's Reading Program


Between March 7th- April 18th, children between the ages of 4-12 can receive a free hamburger, cheeseburger or grilled cheese* from In-N-Out Hamburgers for every five books that they read.
