No Book Sale This Month

Friends of the Library Book Sale will not be held this month due to the library's temporary closure. The next sale will be on November 1, 2008.

Mystery Readers' Book Discussion

The Friends of the Library and The California Center for the Book will be sponsoring the next four Mystery Readers’ book discussions at the Visalia library. The first meeting, on October 15, will include a screening of the film Mysterious California: Four Authors.

Meeting dates and books to be discussed are as follows:

October 15, 2008 - The Art of Detection by Laurie R. King
November 19, 2008 - Shell Games by Kirk Russell
December 17, 2008 - Sharpshooter by Nadia Gordon
January 21, 2008 – Southland by Nina Revoyr

Visalia Library Closure

The library will be closed from October 3rd to October 27th in order to move all the library materials back into the building. Bookmobile service will be located on Encina Street from October 4th to October 25th. (No computers will be available.)

Bookmobile hours will be:

Monday - Thursday : 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Friday - Closed
Saturday - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
