Women of Tulare County, a poster exhibit highlighting the
contributions of ten Tulare County women, will be opening at the Visalia
Library on March 10 to coincide with Women’s History Month. This exhibit
showcases the contributions of ten women of Tulare County from 1855 to the
present through a series of posters. Women featured in the exhibit are
Josephine Allensworth, Anna Mills Johnston, Eleanor Calhoun, Ina Stiner, Annie
Mitchell, Mary Garcia Pohot, Rose Ann Vuich, Jean Shepard, Lali Moheno, and
Ester Hernandez.
This exhibit
will run from March 10th through June 4th and be on display outside of the Annie
R. Mitchell History Room on the second floor of the Visalia Branch of the
Tulare County Library. Exhibit hours are from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Tuesday - Friday
and an opening reception will be held on Wednesday, March 11 from 6:00pm -
7:30pm in the Visalia Library Blue Room.
Women of Tulare County is
